Oblong Names New Directors

Los Angeles-based Oblong--which makes high tech, user interface and collaboration hardware and software--said today that it has named two new directors to the company's Board of Directors. The company said it has added Jonathan Schechter, Partner, The Special Equities Group, and Robert Weinstein, Chief Financial Officer, Synaptogenix to its board. The two replace Jim Lusk and Matthew Blumberg, who the company says have retired from the Oblong board. Schechter is a partner of The Special Equities Group, a division of Dawson James Securities, Inc., an investment bank; Weinstein is Chief Financial Officer of Synaptogenix, Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company pursuing pharmaceutical treatments for neurological diseases.
