Occam Deploys In Wisconsin
Santa Barbara-based Occam Networks, a provider of broadband telephone equipment for rural telecommunications firms, reports today that it has partnered with Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative, based in central Wisconsin, for a $20M, stimulus fiber project. The firm said it is supplying its BLC 6000 multiservice access platform to the telephone cooperative, as part of an extension of that cooperative's fiber network. The expansion is being funded via a $20M stimulus grant. Occam said the win extends fiber deployment in Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative's service area to over 4,600 homes and businesses. Occam did not say how much of that deployment grant and cost will go towards its equipment.
