Ocera Raises $12M
San Diego-based Ocera Therapeutics, a company that is developing treatments for gastrointestinal and liver diseases, has raised a $12M Series B round. Funding came from Sofinnova Ventures. The round also included participation by previous investors Domain Associates and Thomas, McNerney & Partners. Ocera said that it would use the funding for continued clinical development of the company's first product, which is in Phase II clinical trials for treatment of Crohn's disease. More information »
