OpenX Debuts New Ad Traffic Monitoring Product
Los Angeles-based advertising technology provider OpenX has launched a new product today, saying it has launched a new, real-time traffic quality monitoring system to help filter out suspicious advertising traffic for its customers. OpenX said its new system uses automated, real-time processes to identify and filter out suspicious advertising traffic in its ad exchange. The new system is aimed at filtering out automated, non-human Internet ad traffic, so that advertisers do not have to pay for impressions and clicks which are generated by software. Non-human traffic, and unscrupulous publishers, are a major issue with online advertising. OpenX said the new product was designed by a team with experience from Yahoo!, Overture and Shopzilla.
