Ordermark Finds $9.5M For Restaurant Ordering Technology
Santa Monica-based Ordermark, a developer of online ordering management software and systems for the restaurant industry, has raised $9.5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Nosara Capital, and also included Vertical Venture Partners, Techstars Ventures, Riverpark Ventures, and Matchstick Ventures plus prior investors TenOneTen, Mucker Capital, Act One Ventures and AARD Capital. The startup--led by Alex Canter--develops software and hardware which aggregates multiple online ordering services to a single tablet and printer, untangling what has been a very messy process for restaurants. The company's products are already in use by such chains as TGI Friday's, Qdoba, Veggie Grill, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Yogurtland, Johnny Rockets, and Sonic. Canter--whose great grandfather founded LA's Canter's Deli--started developing the technology behind Ordermark after seeing firsthand the chaos generated by online ordering services at Canter's. The company's software and hardware is coupled with services such as onboarding of new online ordering services, ongoing management, menu changes, and hour changes for restaurants. More information »
