Ortiva Wireless Acquired By Allot Communications
La Jolla-based Ortiva Wireless, a developer of wireless video optimization and streaming hardware and software, has been acquired by Allot Communications Ltd., a provider of products for the fixed and mobile data network market, Allot announced this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Allot said it will integrate Ortiva's technology into its Allot Service Gateway product. The company said that the acquisition will be accretive on a quarterly basis by the end of 2012, contributing between $3.0 and $5.0M in revenues for the second half of 2012. Ortiva Wireless was venture backed by Artiman Ventures, Mission Ventures, and Comcast Interactive Capital, and others, and had raised somewhere north of $40M for its efforts.
