PolyCera Membranes Gets $9M For Wastewater Treatment Membranes

Los Angeles-based PolyCera Membranes, a developer of membrane technology used for industrial wastewater treatment, has raised $9M in a Series A funding, according to the company. The funding was led by Kairos Ventures and also included Bluestem Capital and the Wolfen Group. PolyCera, led by CEO Simon Marshall, said the funding will go to build out its global manufacturing, R&D and sales capabilities. The lead investor from Kairos Ventures was Jim Demetriades. Kairos--which is also based in Los Angeles--is focused on investing in scientific companies working on commercialization of their technology. The Wolfen Group is also in Los Angeles, and said it was one of the founding investors in Broadcom. More information »
