Qlogic Acquiring Troika Networks For $36.5
Aliso Viejo-based Qlogic announced yesterday that it is acquiring Westlake Village-based storage acceleration hardware firm Troika Networks in a deal worth $36.5M in cash. Qlogic, a maker of Fibre Channel host bus adapters and switches, said that it will integrate Troika's technology into entry level and mid-range QLogic virtualization platforms that host OEM and ISV software. Troika is backed by Anthem Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Dynafund Ventures, and Windward Ventures. The firm had most recently raised $14.4M in a Series B round, following a recapitalization after an earlier series of venture funding deals. Troika's products are used for the storage virtualization and Fibre Channel networking market.
