QLogic Gets Win At Government Lab
Aliso Viejo-based storage networking hardware provider QLogic said Tuesday that the firm has been selected by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for an Infiniband install. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. QLogic said that it has been selected to provide the InfiniBand infrastructure for the Department of Energy's Hyperion supercomputer cluster project. QLogic's Infiniband switches and adapters will be used as part of the project. Infiniband is a high speed, low latency networking protocol being used in clustered computing installations.
