Qualcomm Adds Mobile Malware Detection To Snapdragon
San Diego-based Qualcomm announced this morning that it has launched a new, anti-malware technology, embedded into its Snapdragon processors. According to Qualcomm, it has launched a new technology called Qualcomm Snapdragon Smart Protect, which uses on-device machine learning to detect zero-day, malware threats. The company said the feature is aimed at use by OEMs and mobible, anti-malware application providers. Qualcomm said the technology was developed in conjunction with such mobile security developers as Avast, AVG, and Lookout.
