Qualcomm Vice Chairman To Retire

San Diego-based Qualcomm said late Wednesday that Steve Altman, the company's Vice Chairman, will retire from Qualcomm next January. Altman had been on Qualcom's board for almost 15 years, and had joined Qualcomm in 1989, serving in a number of roles, including General Counsel and President. The company said that Altman will continue to serve as a strategic consultant to the company after his retirement.
