Quest Software Links With Virtualization Software Maker
Aliso Viejo-based Quest Software said Tuesday that it has joined up with virtualization software maker Parallels, to launch a new software bundle for centralized Windows deployment and management. Financial aspects of the deal were not disclosed, however Quest said that the new software combines Parallels server virtualization software, and Quests's desktop brokering and management software, Provision Networks Virtual Access Suite. The software bundle is targeted at the desktop virtualization market, where desktop operating system images are hosted and managed from a central server. Quest Software acquired Provision Networks in November of last year.
