Recargo: EV Journey Crosses Finish Line
Venice-based electric vehicle app developer Recargo said Tuesday that Norman Hajjar, its Managing Director of its PlugInsights research division, has completed a record-setting, electric vehicle "road trip" around the country, driving more than 12,000 miles in under 3.5 weeks. The software company said it has submitted information on the trip to the Guiness World Records organization, and is seeking to have its trip verified for the longest vehicle journey ever taken using 100% electric power. Recargo--which makes an app to help EV drivers find the nearest charging station--took a stock, Tesla Model S cross country across 27 states. Hajjar said he had to stop 91 times to charge the Tesla, using Tesla's network of nationwide charging stations 86 times.
