Relativity Space Wins Launch Contract From NASA
Los Angeles-based Relativity Space, which is in the midst of developing 3D printed rockets, has scored a launch contract from NASA, the company announced late last week. The company said it was awarded a Venture Class Launch Services Demonstration 2 (VCLS Demo 2) contract to place CubeSats into low Earth orbit. The company said it is planning the launch for June 30, 2022, from Cape Canaveral launchpad LC-16. Relativity Space says it hopes to launch Terran 1, its first entirely 3D printed rocket on that date. Relativity Space did not say how much the launch contract from NASA is worth.
