Report: Broadcom, Walt Disney, WD, Activision CEOs Among Most Overpaid

A new report, issued on Monday, says that Hock Tan, the CEO of Broadcom; Robert Iger, the CEO of The Walt Disney Co.; Stephen Milligan, the CEO of Western Digital; and Robert Kotick, the CEO of Activision Blizzard, are among the 100 most overpaid CEOs. The report--from the group As You Sow--ranked CEOs based on total shareholder return (TSR) and where the most shares were voted against the CEO pay package. According to the report, Broadcom's Hock Tan was the #3 most overpaid CEO, earning $103.2M a year in CEO pay; Disney's Robert Iger, paid $36.28M a year, was #6; WD's Stephen Milligan, paid $17.9M a year, was number 40; and Bobby Kotick of Activision, paid $28.7M a year, was number 45. The As You Know group said that Disney's Iger earns 787 times the pay of the company's median employee; WD's Milligan 1,628 times; and Activision's Kotick 306 times; no number was reported for Broadcom's Tan.
