Report: SpaceX Falcon Heavy Delayed Due To Government Shutdown
Hawthorne-based SpaceX--on the cusp of launching its new, Falcon Heavy rocket into space for the first time--is seeing delays due to the government shutdown, according to a report today. According to The Verge, SpaceX has been forced to delay static test firing operations due to lack of government personnel at its launch site at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The report also quotes SpaceX saying the government shutdown will delay the company's other launches currently on the schedule, due to similar manpower issues across SpaceX's launch sites.
