San Diego's Go Fund Me Helps Fund Ferguson Rebuilding
An analysis published today, shows that efforts on San Diego crowdfunding startup Go Fund Me are rivaling government help in rebuilding businesses damaged by unrest in Ferguson, Mo., after months of protests and riots in that city following the shooting of an unarmed black teenager last year. According to the WSJ, businesses in the area have raised $447,1998 on Go Fund Me, versus around $657,235 in aid from the Small Business Relief Program. Go Fund Me was founded by Brad Dampshouse and Andy Ballester.
