SCE Ramps Up Electric Vehicle Charging Program
Southern California Edison says it is ramping up its electric vehicle charging efforts, with a new "Charge Ready" program to install more electric vehicle charging stations. According to SCE, it is launching a pilot program where it hopes to add as many as 1,500 electric vehicle charging stations in its service area. SCE says it will install and maintain supporting, electrical infrastructure, at no cost to participants, who own, operate, and maintain their own electric vehicle charging station. SCE is hoping its $22M program will help cover the cost of installing more EV charging stations at workplaces, apartment and condo complexes, fleet vehicle parking lots, campuses and recreational areas. The program apparently kicks off on Wednesday.
