Scientist.com, IndieBio Accelerator In Partnership
San Diego-based Scientist.com, the venture-backed, online marketplace for outsourced research, and biotech accelerator IndieBio announced this morning that the two are in a new partnership. According to the two companies, they have partnered to give IndieBio's members access to over 2,000 commercial research suppliers through Scientist.com's platform. IndieBio is a startup accelerated, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, which says it provides $250,000 in seed money, operational support, and introductions to investors to early stage biotech companies. Scientist.com is venture backed by Leerink Transformation Partners (LTP), 5AM Ventures, Heritage Provider Network, Bootstrap Ventures and Jack Giarraputo, a Hollywood producer, and raised a big $24M funding round in May.
