Seek Thermal Rolls Out Temperature Screening System
Santa Barbara-based Seek Thermal, which develops thermal imaging products, says it has rolled out a new, low-cost thermal imaging system which automates temperature screening using skin temperature. The company said its new product, Seek Scan, delivers accurate skin temperature measurements, automatically detecting faces, and alerts if someone is warmer than a customizable alarm temperature. The company said the system is designed to enable social distancing protocols, and can be installed in lobbies, hallways and other key access points to help businesses, institutions and venues. Pricing on the new system were not announced. The company said its system can be set up in minutes, using just two tripods and a Windows PC.
