Semco Instruments Acquired By TransDigm
The acquisition of Valencia-based Semco Instruments, a manufacturer of engineered components for the aerospace industry, has completed, according to acquiring firm TransDigm Group Incorporated. The deal was worth $74M in cash, and had been originally announced on August 6th. Semco Instruments manufactures highly engineered components for turbo-prop, turbo-fan, and turbo-shaft engines from Pratt Whitney, Honeywell, and General Electric, which in turn are used in helicopters, business jets, and regional airplanes. According to TransDigm, Semco's calendar year 2009 revenues were approximately $38M.
