Sendio Upgrades Anti-Spam Product
Irvine-based Sendio, the email spam blocking startup backed by Athenian Venture Partners, Vicente Capital Partners, Shepherd Ventures and Momentum Venture Management, has upgraded the firm's products, saying that it has rolled out a new version of its software today. Sendio said the newest version of its product now includes new clustering capabilities for better fault tolerance, support for third party email archiving software, and Safari browser support. In particular, the firm said its product can now forward copies of all of the messages received by the firm's software into third party archiving and discovery tools, specifically targeted at its enterprise customers. Sendio's product uses sender verification, requiring people sending email to users to verify that they are a human and to verify they want to send emails before allowing a message into the system, which drastically reduces automated spam.
