SendLove.to, With Funding, Debuts Service To Share Opinions On Public Figures
Los Angeles-based SendLove.to, a new startup headed by Chris Lyman and Corey Brundage, debuted today, saying it will provide a "people-polling" platform which will allow users to rate and share their opinion on people in the news. Lyman and Brundage were most recently at Fonality. As part of the launch, SendLove.to said it has raised a $500,000 round of angel financing from a number of Southern California angels, including Jeff Stibel, CEO and Chairman of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp; John Zdanowski, CFO/co-founder of PixelFish; Alex Kazerani, CEO of EdgeCast; and James Segil, president of EdgeCast. Lyman and Brundage said that the service allows anyone to easily rate people they read about in the news, and share opinions about them, with the goal of helping publishers and bloggers engage readers on their web sites. The firm's software allows readers to see all of the comments about specific people in the news on a publisher's website in a real-time, interactive feed.
