Shopzilla Reports Revenue, Profit Growth
Los Angeles-based Shopzilla announced today that the online comparison shopping engine had strong second quarter growth. The firm reported its operating revenues for Q2 2005 were $29.5M, a 113% year to year growth, and that it earned $7.6M on that revenue. Growth was also strong quarter-to-quarter, as the company grew from last quarter's $26.9M first quarter revenues. Shopzilla was acquired in June by the E.W. Scripps Company, and is operating as a stand-alone business segment of the global publishing firm.
