Siimpel Snags $813,000
Arcadia-based Siimpel, a developer of MEMs-based, optical microsystems being applied to the cell phone camera market, has raised raised $813K as part of a new, $8.0M fundraising effort, according to a regulatory filing from the firm today. The filing indicates the fundraising includes both equity and debt, and appears to be the first investment in a new venture round. Siimpel is venture backed by such firms as Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DoCoMo Capital, LG Innotek, Zone Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, Motorola, Micron, Portage Ventures, and SunAmerica.
