Slacker Launches Ringtone Service For Verizon Wireless
San Diego-based music streaming service Slacker said Thursday that it has rolled out a new ringtone service for customers of Verizon Wireless, with a service called Slacker Radio Tones. According to Slacker, the new service lets users customize their phone with music from an "immense" library of songs and its radio stations, at a cost of $2.00 per month. The different songs and music available to Verizon's customers can be used both as ringtones or as ringback tones, both of which can be assigned to specific callers. Slacker said that specific music--for example, Pharrell's 'Happy'--can be used as ringtones when your mother calls.
