Slantrange Rolls Out New Agricultural Drone Sensors
San Diego-based Slantrange, a developer of aerial remote sensing products for the agriculture industry, said it has launched a new product line today, aimed at the precision agriculture market. The company said its new SL2i and Sl2p products are double the resolution and have double the data collection rate and processing efficiency of its prior generation of products. Slantrange's sensors use unmanned aerial vehicles to help farmers gather data on their fields, and help them figure out plant population counts, yield potential, and canopy closure. Slantrange recently raised $5M in a Series A from The Investor Group, in its first venture financing.
