SOFIE BIO Gets $1.8M In SBIR
Culver City-based SOFIE BIOSCIENCES, a developer of imaging diagnostics products, reported earlier this week that it has received $1.8M in a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. The company said the grant will go towards the development of a chip for synthesis of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) probes for neurobiology applications. Sofie Biosciences's technology is being applied to the research of the brain and its diseases. The company is working with a researcher at UCLA on the SBIR project.
