SolarReserve Wins Project Approval In Arizona
Santa Monica-based SolarReserve, the utility scale solar power projects developer, has received project approval on a 100 MW project in Arizona. SolarReserve said its Quartzsite Solar Energy Project, which is based in La Paz County, Arizona, has received approval from the U.S. Department of Interior. The project is located on Bureau of Land (BLM) managed land, and uses concentrated solar power. SolarReserve has yet to sell the power from that project, but is aiming at selling the power generated from the plant to California or Arizona. Construction is expected in 2014.
