Sonos Snags Former Xbox Chief
Santa Barbara-based whole home audio systems maker Sonos has snagged a high profile executive to head up its product efforts, and has hired away former Xbox Chief Product Officer Marc Whitten. According to Microsoft and its Xbox team, Whitten is leaving the company to become Chief Product Officer of Sonos. Whitten had been with Microsoft's Xbox team since 2000. Microsoft said that Whitten played a "pivotal role" in building its Xbox business over the last 14 years. Sonos recently revealed that it had $535M in revenues in 2013.
