SpaceX Cargo Craft Splashes Down Off Long Beach
Hawthorne-based SpaceX said it successfully retrieved a Dragon resupply spacecraft from the International Space Station on Wednesday morning, filled with almost 2,700 pounds of scientific experiments and other cargo. According to SpaceX, the successful retrieval of the Dragon from the Pacific off of Long Beach marks the first time a Dragon has completed three missions to the ISS The SpaceX Dragon departed the International Space Station on Tuesday and splashed down in the Pacific about 300 miles southwest of Long Beach. The SpaceX Dragon had launched July 25th from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
