SpaceX Gears Up For Possible Crew Launch On Wednesday
Hawthorne-based SpaceX is gearing up for a possible launch of the Crew Dragon mission--and the first delivery of astronauts into space from U.S. soil--on Wednesday. The flight--which will take two NASA astronauts, Col. Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken--to the International Space Station--currently is facing possible weather delays, with only a 60% favorable weather forecast. The mission is currently aimed at launch at 4:33pm EDT on Wednesday, May 27th, with the astronauts docking at the ISS on Thursday, May 28th. The SpaceX Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon is currently in place at Launch Complex 39A at NASA Kennedy Space Center.
