SpaceX Scrubs Launch Due To High Winds, Try Again Tomorrow

Did you get up early to try to catch the launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Air Force Base? You can go back to bed. Hawthorne-based SpaceX has scrubbed its launch attempt for Wednesday, due to high upper level winds. According to SpaceX, it will again attempt to launch the PAZ satellite from Vandenberg Air Force Base on Thursday, at 6:17 a.m. PST. SpaceX had originally hoped to launch the PAZ satellite on Saturday, the 17th, but has shifted the expected launch date now a total of three times, due to a number of issues. In addition to PAZ, SpaceX is launching two SpaceX microsatellites, the first prototypes for a proposed constellation of an astounding 4,425 satellites which SpaceX wants to launch to provide widespread Internet access to the entire world.
