SpaceX Sets Launch For Thursday In Florida
Hawthorne-based SpaceX is set to put its next Falcon 9 into space on Thursday, with a launch of the Es'hail-2 rocket from its operations in Florida, according to the company. The communications satellite--owned by the country of Qatar--will launch from Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The launch is currently scheduled for launch at 3:46 p.m. EST on Thursday, and will use the previously flown first stage Falcon 9 booster that was used in July for the Telstar 19 VANTAGE. The satellite payload is expected to provide television, broadband Internet, and services to the government of Qatar, and will cover the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
