SpaceX Successfully Delivers Hispasat To Orbit
Hawthorne-based SpaceX successfully delivered its largest, geosynchronous satellite payload, the Hispasat 30W-6, to orbit last night, in a late evening launch from Cape Canaveral. SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 with the Hispasat 30W-6 at 12:33 a.m. EST from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40). The Hispasat satellite will provide television, broadband, communications, and other services for corporate customers, covering Europe, North Africa, and the Americas. SpaceX's next launch is expected to be another launch of another 10 Iridium satellites, from Vandenberg Air Force Base, on March 29th, at 7:19a.m. PDT.
