SpaceX To Launch All Civilian Space Mission
Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX said on Monday that it will launch its own, all civilian space mission on one of its Crew Dragon capsules, saying it plans to put four people into space on the Inspiration4 mission. The mission is expected to launch in Q4. The mission will be piloted by Jared Isaacman, the 37-year-old founder and chief executive officer of Shift4 Payments, which apparently is paying for the full costs of the flight. Shift5 said that the mission is part of a fundraising effort for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, with one of the seats reserved for a "St. Jude ambassador". Shift4 Payments is a payment processing and technology company.
