StartEngine Adds Second Company To Crowdfunding Platform
Los Angeles-based StartEngine, which recently pivoted into equity crowdfunding, said Thursday that it has added a second company to its platform with SEC qualification. StartEngine said that XTI Aircraft, which is developing new aircraft, has received qualification through the SEC to begin collecting capital in exchange for equity through StartEngine's platform. XTI is the second company on StartEngine's equity crowdfunding site; the other company is Elio Motors, which StartEngine says has so far raised $16M on its platform. XTI Aircraft is based in Denver, Colorado. StartEngine began life as a startup accelerator, but in recent months has rolled out its own, equity crowdfunding platform.
