Strix Systems Gets Strategic Investment, Opens Indian R&D Center
Calabasas-based wireless networking hardware provider Strix Systems said today that the firm has received an "inflow" of strategic investments from investors, and also opened up a R&D center in India. Amount of the investment, and names of the strategic investors was not disclosed. According to Strix, it has also created a new engineering organization at a R&D center in India, which the firm said will accelerate development of new wireless mesh networking products from the firm. Strix develops wireless mesh newtorking products which the firm is currently targeting at applications such as outdoor networks, public safety, wireless hot spots, and other applications.
