Techstars Launches Virtual Accelerator
Startup accelerator operator Techstars announced this morning that it is launching a new "virtual accelerator", which seeks to provide the same kind of experience virtually that the startup accelerator is offering. The inaugural class of four companies in the the accelerator includes two different companies with founders in San Diego. Techstars--which operates three, physical accelerators in Los Angeles--said that the class includes Qeepsake operates a service which helps parents keep a baby book for their kids by answering age appropriate and topical questions about their kids via text message; one co-founder (Duncan Street) is in San Diego; and What Tax Form (founded by Emily Rotolo and based in San Diego) provides a clean and simple interface to generate the most common new employee tax related documents.
