Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator Debuts First Class
The Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator, the new, space-themed startup accelerator run by Techstars in Los Angeles, has announced its inagural class, naming ten companies that will participate over the next three months in its startup accelerator program. The startup accelerator is being supported by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, Maxar Technologies, SAIC, Israel Aerospace Industries North America, and the U.S. Air Force, with support from The Aerospace Corporation. The companies include Hybird (robotics for industrial inspection); Hydrosat (usage of space imagery in agriculture); Leo Aerospace (dedicated launch service for microsatellites); Morpheus Space (electric propulsion and AI); Novo Space (Electronics for the space industry); Orbit Fab (on-orbit fuel supply); Pixxel (imaging satellites); Regher Solar (solar cells for space); SciArt Software (software tools); and Zeno Power Systems (radioisotope power systems). The Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator has its demo day on Wednesday, October 16th; the new startup accelerator is being led by Matt Kozlov, who previously was head of the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, which was also run by Techstars.
