Teledyne Gets $178M In Special Operations Contract

Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies reported this morning that it has scored a $178M contract, to product underwater combat submersibles for the Special Forces. According to Teledyne, the contract win came for Teledyne Brown Engineering, its subsidiary in Huntsville, Alabama, from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The sole source contract goes to produce the MK11 Shallow Water Combat Submersible (SWCS) Systems, the underwater submersibles which are used by the Special Forces to insert their military operators into combat areas.
