Tongal Raises $15M For Crowdsourced Video
Los Angeles-based Tongal, an online platform which helps brands crowdsource video for their advertising, said this morning that it has raised $15M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Insight Venture Partners. Tongal, which was founded by Rob Salvatore, James DeJulio and Mark Burrell, allows creative types--directors, actors, animators, writers, and others--submit their ideas, videos, and more for specific projects solicited by brands. The firm says it has worked with such brands as LEGO, Pringles, McDonalds, Crest, Ace Hardware, Scope, and others. The firm said the funding will go towards build out of its community and expansion of its community. More information »
