Total Immersion Launches New Product
Los Angeles-based Total Immersion, the developer of augmented reality software headed by Bruno Uzzan, said Tuesday that it has launched a new e-commerce product called TryLive. The firm said the new product allows online shoppers to virtually "try on" products like eyewear, jewelry, watches, and headphones. The product uses web camera images and face recognition and tracking technology to overlay virtual images of products on e-commerce shoppers. Total Immersion did not say how much the new product will cost. Total Immersion develops augmented reality (AR) software, which overlays computer generated images in real time with live camera images, and allows users to "interact" with those computer generated images.
