Transphorm Names Co-Founder As New President, CEO

Goleta-based Transphorm said this morning that it has named Dr. Primit Parikh as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Parikh is one of Transphorm's founders. The company said Dr. Parikh replaces Maria Rivas, who has been CEO since February of 2020, Chair of the board since May 2022, and was CEO of subsidiary Transphorm Technology since October of 2015. Rivas says he is retiring. Transphorm has also appointed Dr. Umesh Mishra, the company's other founder, as Chairman. Transphorm is a developer of Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) power semiconductors.
