Tsavo Launches Twitter Search Engine
Santa Monica-based Tsavo, the online media firm run by former Userplane founder Michael Jones, said Monday that it has officially launched a new web site focused on searching the popular Twitter micro-blogging service. The new service, Twithority, allows users to search for Twitter messages, shown in order of highest ranking users and time. Tsavo said the new site will be integrated into its network of sites--being billed as the "Daymix network" by the firm--which also includes sites like food site NibbleDish, mommy site Kidglue, male-oriented site Manolith, and Twirlit.com. The firm had soft-launched the site in late December.
