Turtle Beach Sees Record Retail Sales
San Diego-based gaming headset maker Turtle Beach Products says it is seeing "record" retail sales in April, as a result of an industry-wide increase in gaming accessories. According to the company, its retail sales in April were more than double the brand's prior all-time high from April 2018. Financial details on those sales were not announced. Turtle Beach makes gaming headsets which are aimed at the Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo market, and also work with PCs, Macs, and mobile and tablet devices. Turtle Beach said it believes the sales uptick is due to the combination of increased gaming activity, distance learning, and work-from-home; the company said its sales in April of 2020 were more than triple the amount it sold in April 2019. Turtle Beach is led by CEO Juergen Stark.
