UberMedia, Bleacher Report Team On Tweeting Contest
Pasadena-based UberMedia, the Twitter third party client software provider, and Bleacher Report, the online sports publishing site, said today that they've linked up to run a prize to award prizes to users who tweet photos of sports events. The two said they have launched the UberSports College Hoops contest, which will allow users to submit photos using Twidroyd or UberSocial showing themselves as the "ultimate college hoops fan". The two said they would award such prizes as a 60 inch flat panel HDTV and $1000 for a college hoops championship party, plus a number of Slingboxes and 45 inch flat panel HDTVs. UberMedia is the Twitter client firm headed by Idealab's Bill Gross. UberSocial is the firm's Twitter client which recently underwent a forced name change from UberTwitter, after Twitter cut off access to UberMedia's various clients.
