UCSB Gets $1.25M From W.M. Keck Foundation
UC Santa Barbara has received a new, $1.25M grant from the W.M. Keck Foundation for a new research initiative around microRNA, the school is reporting. The foundation will fund research into tiny RNA molecules (microRNAs) and their impact on the regulation of gene function. The interdisciplinary research grant includes professors from chemical engineering, mechanical and environmental engineering, biology, and physics.
