Userplane Ties Into Friendster API
Los Angeles-based Userplane announced today that the firm has linked with social networking web site Friendster, and is joining Friendster's new developer program. The announcement came in conjunction with the launch of its Webchat 2 software on the Friendster site. Userplane provides Flash-based, web chat and messaging tools for social networking and other web sites. Friendster launched its developer program, which provides connections to APIs and data on the social networking site, in December; the move follows the success of Facebook in attracting third party developers to the company's social networking web site. Userplane is owned by AOL.
