V-ENABLE Upgrades Mobile Software
San Diego-based V-Enable, a provider of software for the mobile market, has released an upgrade to its software for mobile search. The company said that it has released version 3.0 of its veCLIENT and version 6.0 of its veGATEWAY products, increasing the speed of searches on 3G networks such as EV-DO and UMTS/HSDPA. V-Enable provides voice input and search technology for mobile phone users, running on JAVA, BREW, and SYMBIAN platforms. The firm is backed by Acumen, Arcturus, Poole Investment Ventures, Siemens Venture Capital, Sorrento Ventures, and the Tech Coast Angels.
